This bracket is designed for the 1985 to 1989 Toyota MR2 AW11 coupe. Mounting is to the factory seat bolt points, which means no drilling and nothing altered on the car. The same bracket fits the driver or the passenger seat. Two seats, two brackets.
A universal mount was never measured against a mid-engine two-seater, so in an AW11 it hangs awkward and steals the little space there is. This one is cut for the MR2's own seat foot and nothing else. Your vehicle is specific. Your safety gear should be too.
Designed for straightforward installation using standard hand tools. Attach the cage to the bracket, position the bracket at the seat foot, and secure the seat per the vehicle manufacturer's seat fastener procedure. Two M5 bolts, two nylock nuts and washers are included to attach the cage. Use a metal-strapped, cage-style vehicle extinguisher mount that is correctly sized, in good condition and installed per its manufacturer's instructions. Extinguisher and cage sold separately.
