This policy explains what personal information KAP Industries collects when you visit kap-industries.com or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. The Site is operated by SJP Media Limited, a New Zealand company trading as KAP Industries ("KAP", "we", "us").
We collect what we need to sell you a bracket, ship it, support you and improve the Site. We do not sell your personal information for money.
1. What we collect
You give us: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address; order details, including your vehicle where you provide it; payment confirmation from our payment provider (we do not receive your full card number); messages, reviews, photos and videos you send; marketing preferences; fleet and trade inquiry details.
Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location from IP, and cookie data (section 5).
From third parties: fraud-screening and address-verification signals from our payment and shipping providers; analytics and advertising platforms that tell us how you reached the Site.

3. Who we share it with
Service providers who need it to do a job for us, and only for that job: Shopify (store and orders); payment processors shown at checkout; our US manufacturing and fulfillment partner in Boise, Idaho (name, address and order to pick, pack and ship); carriers; email and SMS providers; our review platform; analytics and advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, which may use cookies or pixels on the Site; and professional advisers or authorities where required by law, to protect our rights, or in a restructure, merger or sale of our business.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some US state laws treat sharing data with advertising platforms as a "sale" or "sharing." You can opt out under section 6.
4. Where it is processed
KAP is based in New Zealand and our fulfillment partner is in the United States. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States, New Zealand, Australia and wherever our service providers operate.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies for the cart, checkout and security (essential), for analytics, and for measuring and targeting advertising. Manage them through your browser and the cookie banner where shown. Blocking essential cookies stops checkout working.
6. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to know what personal information we hold and receive a copy, correct it, delete it (subject to legal exceptions such as order, tax and product-safety records), opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and of targeted advertising, not be discriminated against for exercising these rights, and appeal a decision on your request. We extend these rights to all US customers.
To exercise any right, email help@kap-industries.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your identity using your order details and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may authorise an agent to act for you.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
7. Marketing
We send marketing emails only if you opt in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal information as long as reasonably necessary for order, tax, accounting, warranty, legal and product-safety purposes. Because a bracket may stay in a vehicle for many years, we keep purchaser and product records so we can contact you if a safety notice is ever needed. Marketing data is removed when you unsubscribe or after a reasonable period of inactivity.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and a PCI-compliant payment provider. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by law.
10. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on the Site.
