Turbo four, six-speed manual only, red seats, Championship White if you were lucky. Owners drive them daily and then drive them at track days, which is precisely the pattern that calls for a mounted fire extinguisher. An FK8 Civic Type R fire extinguisher bracket from KAP mounts it properly.

Fitment is the 2017 to 2021 Honda Civic Type R FK8 hatchback, full stop. It mounts to the factory seat bolt points with no drilling and no modification. It fits either front seat, driver or passenger; order two if you want both covered.

A universal bracket does not know an FK8 from a rental sedan, so it compromises: crooked, rocking, or asking for a hole in the floor. This one is cut for the FK8's seat foot and nothing else. Your vehicle is specific. Your safety gear should be too.

Designed for straightforward installation using standard hand tools. Mount your cage on the bracket before it goes in, place the bracket at the seat foot, and secure the seat per the vehicle manufacturer's seat fastener procedure. Two M5 bolts, two nylock nuts and washers are included to attach the cage. Use a metal-strapped, cage-style vehicle extinguisher mount that is correctly sized, in good condition and installed per its manufacturer's instructions. Extinguisher and cage sold separately.

11 gauge steel, laser-cut and powder-coated black, so it sits low in the FK8 footwell and stays clear of heels and floor mats. Backed by KAP's Lifetime Warranty. Proudly made in America.

Depending on the extinguisher fitted, the seat may not travel as far in one direction as it did before. It must still adjust and lock normally. If it does not, stop and contact us.

Over 45,000 KAP brackets sold and 4.9 out of 5 from 1,600+ verified KAP customer reviews across the KAP range.
